Turkey Bay is the designated off-highway vehicle riding area inside Land Between the Lakes. It gives ATV, side-by-side, dirt-bike and other OHV riders a place to explore wooded terrain without leaving the recreation area.
The riding area includes a mix of established routes, hills, wooded stretches and uneven terrain. Conditions can change quickly after rain, so a trail that feels manageable during dry weather may be considerably more difficult when wet. New riders should begin conservatively and pay attention to posted difficulty and directional information.
Turkey Bay also has a camping area, making it possible to spend more than one day riding. Facilities and operating conditions can change seasonally, so confirm current access, permits, closures and safety requirements with Land Between the Lakes before loading the trailer.
Turkey Bay can be the center of a full Land Between the Lakes getaway. Compare the main camping options, find nearby lodging, browse more things to do, or use our towns guide to plan fuel, meals and supplies outside the recreation area.
