Begin at the welcome station nearest your approach, pick up the current visitor map, and follow Woodlands Trace toward Golden Pond. Choose one ticketed attraction and one outdoor experience rather than racing between every landmark. The recreation area stretches across Kentucky and Tennessee, and the drive is part of the visit.
