Piney Campground is the large developed campground for the southern end of Land Between the Lakes. Its Kentucky Lake setting works especially well for travelers building a trip around boating, swimming, the Fort Henry Trail System or the Homeplace.

Who should choose Piney
Choose Piney when the southern half of LBL is the center of the trip. It is a poor choice for a weekend focused on Grand Rivers and the northern attractions because the drive becomes part of every day. Families and boaters gain the most from the developed facilities; hikers can reach the Fort Henry routes without crossing the recreation area.
