The Golden Pond Planetarium & Observatory is an easy indoor anchor for a hot, cold or rainy day in the center of Land Between the Lakes. Programs use a 40-foot dome and are followed by a live look at the evening sky when scheduling allows.

Choose a show, not just a time
The program changes through the year, and individual presentations have different age recommendations. The observatory and seasonal laser shows do not follow the same schedule as the daytime dome programs. Review the current calendar before choosing when to arrive.
The visitor center is also the most useful place to pick up maps and ask about current conditions. Pair the stop with a short trail or the Elk & Bison Prairie rather than building an itinerary that requires a long north-to-south drive afterward.
